FastFrame Gallery is pleased to present its Summer Art Show:
Echoes of Color and Light – Art That Speaks Its Mind
Featuring the artwork of B.F. Reed and Gail Henderson, two artists whose creations resonate with multi-colored voices.
Come and meet the artists at our Opening Reception on Friday, July 23, from 5:00 until 7:30 pm. We will, as always, be serving excellent wine and delicious appetizers by the Sandwich Pail.
We are very fortunate to be featuring the distinctive art of these two women. Gail Henderson and BF Reed use very different mediums but are united by their use of light, shadow and color. Both artists connect to their art on a personal, intuitive level. Come be refreshed and inspired by Gail Henderson’s bright layered textures and intrigued and beguiled by BF Reed’s rich colors and diverse subjects.

Fill the Cupboard Art Show
Food shortages and hunger continue to be a very real danger for many people in the area. The summer is especially hard on children because they are not in school. They often receive their only meals at school. Please consider bringing some nonperishable items to the show or drop them off at the Gallery any time. FastFrame will match the amount collected the first week of the show.
FastFrame Gallery hosts Exhibits and Openings by local artists on a regular basis. Our popular Evenings of Art & Wine feature fine wines by locally owned WineStyles and delicious handmade appetizers by Donna Oaster, owner of The Sandwich Pail. Featured artists mingle with invited guests in a casual appreciative atmosphere that encourages conversation about the many topics surrounding art.

FILL THE CUPBOARD ART SHOWS!
We cheerfully encourage and are delighted to accept food and financial contributions to help several of our local food banks, including Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard, The Good Shepherd, and The Salvation Army. Feel free to drop off donations at the Landfall Gallery.
Below are some samples of the incredibly talented artists whose pieces we are fortunate to have in the gallery.
Carol Hovey’s watercolors bring images to life with both strength and delicacy. Carol uses a variety of styles to bring her subjects to life, some in soft muted tones, others singing with color.
Painting outside in all kinds of weather can be frustrating and difficult for the artist but plein air artist Ann Lees is invigorated by the beautiful natural scenes around Wilmington.
Ivey Hayes is one of the best known and most beloved artists of our area. His color-drenched canvases show scenes of ordinary working people from the coasts, farmlands and towns of North Carolina.
Jewelry artist Sara Westermark hand-fabricates original designs using sterling silver, copper, gold, freshwater pearls, and gemstones.
Terry Rosenfelder paints with oil on canvas, populating waterfront and city scenes with simplified yet surprisingly detailed images.
Somehow, M. Matteson Smith has the ability to see the world in bas relief, and translates her visions of sea life, botany, and whimsical images into uniquely original framed paper sculpture.
Cindy Weaver creates pottery that is both organically inspired and calming to the senses. The simple flowing lines of her pieces reflect a view of life that balances the challenges of life with its unending beauty.

We are a local artist gallery dedicated to supporting the local arts community in Wilmington. We have the incredibly talented works of more than fifteen local artists enlivening the walls of our gallery.
